Hawks Talons raiders managed to finally defeat Warmaster Blackhorn this past week on our Thursday raid night!  We even gave Spine of Deathwing a go and managed to get it down to the last panel before we met our makers :)  GREAT JOB ALL!  World of Logs posts are up if you want to see the details, check with Bliss to review any theorycrafting ideas in regards to the data.  This victory makes us officially 6/8 in Dragon Soul and we hope to keep hammering away at that dragon!  Keep fighting Hawks!

• You might have noticed a little shifting of graphics here and there on the website lately.  I'm gearing us up for the upcoming expansion and getting things rearranged just in time.  It sounds like Mists of Pandaria won't be long before it appears!

• The Scroll of Resurrection program is underway and if any old Hawks would like one sent to them to come back to World of Warcraft, please message WyvernWulf with the name and server of your character and we can get you a scroll sent out as soon as possible.

• Once a month in Ventrilo we are holding a guild meeting to give folks opportunities to talk about the state of the union and bring up any questions or concerns they may have about anything involving the guild activities, policies or anything at all.  These meetings are posted in the WoW in-game calendar and usually fall on a Sunday evening.  Please join us in vent and join in the conversation!

• As of this post, the Hawks Talons 10-man raiding has become 6/7 Firelands and 5/8 Dragon Soul.  Raid nights are officially:
- Tuesday and Thursday from 6:30 to 8 server time (9:30 to 11 eastern)
- Friday from 6:30 to 9 server (9:30 to 12 am eastern)
- Makeup day on Monday from 6:30 to 8 server.

• There was a changing of the guard last month as Guild Leader Fess has passed the mantle to our new Guild Leader CapnSkillet (Navarion) to head up the guild in his work-related absence.  This was to assure that Hawks had a leader able to be online as needed for the position without adding additional stress to Fess during this difficult time for him; thus proving once again our belief in work/life balance for all, even the guild leaders! :)  You might even see some news blurbs from our very own GL from time to time!  Congratulations Capn and Yaaaaaaaargh!

• We've seen a lot of old faces return in the last few weeks, as well as some new ones!  We welcome all Hawks to the fold and let the officers know if we can be of any assistance with your characters.  We have a veritable army of crafters, theorysmiths and even transmogrification suggestions from yours truly! ;)  We're here to help so don't be shy, speak up and let us know what we can do to help.

• We're keeping our eyes out always for events our guildies might be interested in participating in, from running old raids to alt groups to Looking-for-Raid team-ups to PVP.  If you'd like to suggest an event, please see Brenoak and we will get it on the guild calendar.
