As Cataclysm comes out there is something I wanted to make clear to everyone. While I do not have a problem with people on occasion playing a toon on another server or as alliance when there is nothing going on or the Silvermoon server is down, I want to let everyone know that to be in Hawks and to stay in Hawks you need to be on Silvermoon and playing a Horde character. We have been and always will be Horde and will be playing on Silvermoon. It is not good for the guild to have folks moving to other servers then trying to lure other guild members over to play there as well. These types of actions will just split the guild more than it is now. We are close to downing Lich King and will be moving to the new content as everyone levels, my plan is to try to include everyone possible on these dungeons and new content. We will work on planning things for everyone to do and around the multiple schedules of our players. Please if you have any problems, concerns or questions get with me in game and I will be more than happy to listen. Thanks all and have fun with Cataclysm.

UPDATED 7-6-10: Hawks is willing to open its doors to new members who are interested in joining our Horde Guild!  We are happy to add contributing, team player members to our guild family.

We are looking for folks who:

• are mature, at least 20 years old.  Younger applicants are ONLY accepted if they have a veteran member as their sponsor, and this is a very rare exception. 

• understand that Game/life balance is important and happens.  If you aren't sure what this means, then you probably aren't going to fit in here. 

• understand what it means to be a team player!  Meaning, it's not about you, it's about EVERYONE.

• have and use Ventrilo Voice Chat.  We are largely a voice-chat-based guild, and it is absolutely required for groups and raids.  We are old and don't care to type all the time.  So don't be shy, grab a mic and join in the conversation.  If you don't want to speak into vent, that's fine.  But you must at least listen in the case of raids.

• want a Casual/Social Guild that dabbles in Raiding.  WE ARE NOT A RAIDING GUILD SO DON'T EXPECT THIS TO BE ONE WHEN YOU JOIN.  We may very well not be able to satisfy all your raiding desires and hopes. Sorry, that's just how it is.  We move at our own pace.

• want to join and be a part of a community, not use us as a stepping-stone and drop us as soon as it's convenient for you to get into a UBAR LEET RAIDING GUILD YO.  If you are "too cool for school" as the salty expression says, we don't want you anyway.

• have an open mind to interact with personality types from all walks of life.  We've got a lovely bunch of coconuts here.

• knew us when.  Old Shadowbane friends are welcome. :)  (unless you think we were Vaylor's Fake Hawks.  Then you can kiss our collective bum.)


If we think you might be a good fit, Hawks will admit you into the guild on a trial basis.  After you've proven yourself to the guild as a worthy addition to the family in personality, game-play and commitment, you will be made a full member.
