Good news everyone!  Hawks Talons did get our very first Rotface kill on 3-7-10 and this was no easy feat let me tell you.  BIG THANKS to all those who banged their collective heads against wall after wall to accomplish this for the guild.  This piece of crap boss still gives us trouble to this day but we can at least say we took him down. 

When setting up the Weekly Raid boss with a tentative icon of The Eye of Eternity, I didn't actually think we'd get Malygos.  Much to everyone's chagrin, that's just what happened by PURE CHANCE. lol  (I will still be blamed for cursing us!)  HOWEVER!  Hawks Talons rose to the challenge and with perseverance and teamwork, I am proud to say that after ages of trials and failures, we at last defeated Malygos in The Eye of Eternity 10-man!  Fantastic work to all who came to give it a shot and now that we know the fight and know what's required we feel pretty confident we can do a repeat performance!  Here are a few pics from the night's success, great job Hawks!

Our Icecrown Citadel 10-Man progression group has returned to the Plagueworks this past weekend and successfully taken down our first kill of the disgusting abomination Festergut... without a moment to spare! lol  The screencap I got will crack you up on how close the enrage timer was to killing us all.  Awesome job Hawks, hope to see more victories in our future!  :)

Hawks Talons in another feat of 10-man raiding fun did manage to take down the newly added raid boss to the Vault of Archavon, Toravon the Ice Watcher.  He resembled a larger Son of Hodir but his tactics reminded me a lot of Gluth.  Big congrats to the guild for the several kills since and hopefully more to come each week!  :)

UPDATED 2-14-10: Hawks is willing to open its doors to new members who are interested in joining our Horde Guild!  We are happy to add contributing, team player members to our guild family.

We are looking for folks who:

• Are mature, at least 20 years old.  Younger applicants are ONLY accepted if they have a veteran member as their sponsor.
• Understand that Game/life balance is important and happens.  If you aren't sure what this means, then you probably aren't going to fit in here. 
• Understand what it means to be a team player!  Meaning, it's not about you, it's about EVERYONE.
• have and use Ventrilo Voice Chat.  We are largely a voice chat-based guild, and it is absolutely required for groups and raids.  We are old and don't care to type all the time.  So don't be shy, grab a mic and join in the conversation.
• want a Casual/Social Guild that dabbles in Raiding.  WE ARE NOT A RAIDING GUILD SO DON'T EXPECT THIS TO BE ONE WHEN YOU JOIN.  We may very well not be able to satisfy all your raiding desires and hopes. 
• have an open mind to interact with personality types from all walks of life.
• knew us when.  Old Shadowbane friends are welcome. :)


If we think you might be a good fit, Hawks will admit you into the guild on a trial basis.  After you've proven yourself to the guild as a worthy addition to the family in personality, game-play and commitment, you will be made a full member.
